Yard Associate - Part Time

Forklift certification and lumber yard experience is a plus but not required. We are willing to train the right person who fits the needs of our company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• - Reads and correctly pulls material listed on tickets
• - Help customers locate and pull material
• - Counts and checks the quality and condition of all outgoing and incoming products
• - Ability to grade and put away lumber
• - Identifies and locates the various types of materials in the yard
• - Proper lifting and lowering of heavy lumber, min 50lbs
• - Loads and unloads materials for delivery
• - Operates and maintains forklift and other equipment safely
• - Keeps outside yard clean and secure
• - Performs other duties when assigned

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• - Lumber Knowledge
• - Basic math skills
• - Ability to use basic hand tools
• - Manual dexterity

Delivery Drivers

Monday thru Fridays, No Weekends.
Home every evening.
Delivery area could include: East bay, South Bay, Napa, and more.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• -Adhere to all state, local and company laws and policies for safe vehicle operation.
• -Load and offload trailer safely and efficiently as needed.
• -Completes all paperwork, and obtains customer signature for proof of delivery
• -Prepare for daily route by reviewing products to accurate product loading, properly securing vehicle, and inspecting truck for proper operation
• -Actively pursue an excellent working relationship with customers by ensuring prompt and courteous service.
• -Display a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• -High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• -Must be at least 21 years old.
• -Requires a valid driver's class B license and good driving record
• -Ability to operate a forklift.
• -Good verbal communication and public relations skills.
• -Previous truck driving experience is preferred.
• -All applicants Must Meet DOT regulations.
